This is my first time participating a blog hop, but it looks like fun. It’s all about finding new blogs to follow, which is awesome. I totally bungled registering my blog with info about books I read, so here goes: I like Teen, Paranormal Romance and Urban Fantasy–but, I’ll read anything as long as it has a hint of romance in it. You’ll find that bit of information all over this blog.

So, if you’re looking for a new book blog to follow, or you want to register your own, follow the link above and join us!

“If you find a book that looks interesting but is part of a series, do you always start with the first title?”

Funnily enough, I just talked about this in a recent post. My personal preference allows me to read any book that takes my fancy. If it’s the third book in the series and I haven’t read the first or second, I have no compunction about picking up book three. This is doubly true if the books are a series, but each volume has a stand-alone story. Think the Psy-Changeling books or the Immortals After Dark.

But since I’ve started this book blog, I’ve began a slow change in point of view. If I were still reading for myself alone, I’d probably keep on keeping on. But now I think that I don’t give a book its best chance if I don’t read the series in order. That’s why I decided to start the Shadowkeepers Trilogy from the start. I wrote in my review of When Blood Craves that I felt I owed it to the author to read his/her series as he/she intended it to be read: in order. So, that’s why I’ve turned over a new leaf. It’s a long explanation for a very short question, but anything that gets me thinking is a good thing!
